Graad 8 aansoeke 2027 | Grade 8 applications 2027

Alle Graad 8-aansoeke moet deur die Wes-Kaapse Onderwysdepartement (WKOD) gedoen word. Die skakel is slegs aktief gedurende sekere tye van die jaar.

Hierdie jaar is dit aktief vanaf 10 Maart 2026.

Vir die proses gaan u die volgende gewaarmerkte dokumentasie benodig en kan dit reeds regkry voor die portaal open:

Leerder se geboortesertifikaat
Finale Graad 6-rapport
Beide ouers se ID dokumente
Bewys van adres

U kan ook na hierdie inligtingsvideo kyk om die aansoekproses makliker te maak. Let wel, die video verwys nog na laasjaar se datums, maar gee ‘n aanduiding van hoe die proses loop.

As u nog nie voorheen die portaal gebruik het nie, sal u eers as ouer moet registreer. Daarna sal u die proses kan begin om aansoek te doen vir u kind.

Sodra die aansoekportaal in Maart open kan u die aansoek aanlyn voltooi. U gaan drie skole moet lys. Merk Charlie Hofmeyr as nommer 1.

Nadat die WKOD-aanlynaansoek voltooi is, kan u ‘n gedrukte kopie van die aansoek, alle gewaarmerkte dokumente asook die Charlie Hofmeyr addisionele inligtingsvorm (kliek hier om af te laai) by ons Finansieskantoor inhandig. U sal ‘n register teken met die indiening van die dokumente.

Belangrikste datums:

Die WKOD se aansoekportaal sluit op die 14de April 2026.
Skole verwerk aansoeke vanaf 15 April tot 18 Mei 2026.
Die WKOD stelsel sal ouers vanaf 28 Mei tot 10 Junie 2026 per e-pos/sms in kennis stel aan die primêre ouer van die uitslag van u aansoek. (Maak asb. seker die primêre ouer se kontak besonderhede (e-pos adres en selfoonnommer) is 100% korrek op die WKOD se stelsel.
Ouers aanvaar die uitslag op die WKOD stelsel vanaf 28 Mei tot 15 Junie 2026.
Vanaf 28 Mei 2026 sal die skool ‘n skrywe uitstuur met ‘n aanvaardingsdokument wat ook asseblief na die Finansieskantoor teruggestuur moet word.

BELANGRIKE INLIGTNG:
Geen skool mag van hierdie tydlyn afwyk nie.
Charlie Hofmeyr mag dus onder geen omstandighede enige inligting m.b.t. toelatings voor hierdie tye bekend maak nie.

All Grade 8 applications must be submitted through the Western Cape Education Department (WCED). The link is only active during certain times of the year.

This year, it will be active from 10 March 2026.

For the application process, you will need the following certified documents, which you can prepare in advance before the portal opens:

Learner’s birth certificate
Final Grade 6 report
Both parents’ ID documents
Proof of address

If you have never used the WCED portal before, you will first need to register as a parent. Once registered, you can begin the application process for your child.

When the application portal opens in March, you must complete the application online. You will need to list three schools and should mark Charlie Hofmeyr as your first choice.

Once the WCED online application has been completed, please submit a printed copy of the application, all certified documents, and the Charlie Hofmeyr additional information form (click here to download) to our Finance Office. You will be required to sign a register when submitting the documents.

Important Deadlines:

WCED application portal opens: 10 March 2026
Schools process applications from 15 April to 18 May 2026.
The WKOD system will notify parents via email/SMS from 28 May to 10 June 2026, informing the primary parent of the outcome of your application. (Please ensure that the primary parent’s contact details — email address and cellphone number — are 100% correct on the WKOD system.
Parents accept the outcome on the WCED system from 28 May to 15 June 2026.
From 28 May 2026, the school will send out a letter together with an acceptance document, which must also be returned to the Finance Office.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
No school is allowed to deviate from this timeline.
Charlie Hofmeyr may not disclose any admission-related information before these dates under any circumstances.

As u Graad 9 tot 12 kind wil skuif vanaf ’n ander skool moet u beide die WKOD-vorm aflaai, invul, en met alle nodige dokumentasie by die skool aflaai, asook die bykomende inligting benodig soos aangedui in ons aansoekproses hieronder.

If you wish to transfer your Grade 9 to 12 child from another school, you must download and complete the WCED form, submit it to the school along with all necessary documentation, as well as the additional information required as indicated in our application process below.
